We arrived early on Monday to find a very quiet and extremely wet Sydney and that is the way it stayed all day. It was a public holiday, Queen Elizabeth’s birthday. Given the rain, the aquarium in Darling harbor seemed like a good option and the fish didn’t seem bothered at all. The sharks and rays were magnificent! In stark contrast, the mammals in the Wildlife exhibit were not keen on the rain, the koalas looking particularly unhappy. Their keeper explained they have two furry coats so they don’t get wet but the ones we saw didn’t seem to be so lucky.
After a quiet rest of the day we retired for some much needed shut eye.
