Port Douglas

Our last port of call was the North Queensland beach town of Port Douglas.  This is a popular spot for tourists traveling to the Great Barrier Reef and the Rain Forests nearby.  We had a leisurely five days relaxing in and around four mile beach just south of Port Douglas, getting out to visit the surrounding area with its beautiful secluded beaches and the tablelands further inland.  The town itself is a typical vacation oriented town with shops and many restaurants, not unlike Lahaina in Maui.

We left Sydney at 2:45 pm today and arrived back in Portland at 2:30pm and I wish the journey was as quick as that! Overall a fabulous vacation experience!
