The Sydney Opera is beautiful architecture, simply stunning, regardless of how often you see it. Even up close, its tiles give it an usual look. Fortunately the weather was much better and we were able to see the Opera House after a pleasant walk through the botanical garden. Lunch at The Rocks, one of the original areas of Sydney rounded out a great morning.
With the improved weather, it was worth visiting the Sydney Tower, a 300M high structure. The view from the top highlights Sydney is a beautiful city and metro area. As beautiful as Sydney is, we’ve also noted it is one of the most expensive cities in the world, and this was borne out when we heard it is one of the world’s top 10 expensive cities and London in comparison is number 11.
We completed the day spending dinner with my cousin Julian and his lovely wife Ann, catching up on the last 14 years since we last saw them. A fabulous way to wrap up the day!
